The Center for Jazz Arts (CJA) is the first public benefit organization of its kind dedicated to the advancement of American jazz culture throughout numerous fields of the visual, literary, and classical arts, around the world.

As an innovative new platform of engagement for students, educators, artists, authors, and the broader public, from every generation, the mission of the CJA is committed to the development of ongoing educational and cultural programs involving the fields of American Studies, European Studies, Women's Studies, Filmmaking, Broadcast, Photography, Graphic Design, Illustration, Journalism, Publishing, and Performing Arts.

Central to our focus in the area of community education is the CJA's commitment to both supporting and expanding the existing programs of our numerous library, archive, museum, and academic partners, through ongoing cooperative opportunities.

Further dedicated to continuously supporting the advancement of K-12 student achievement, the CJA's unified media- and arts-driven activities are establishing a variety of creative, new opportunities for the engagement of much younger audiences, from all backgrounds.
